To the editor:
After standing in line for over 1 1/2 hours to get into Capaha Park during President Clinton's visit to Cape Girardeau, we had our Dole-Kemp signs taken away and tossed on the ground. We didn't say anything and walked on into the fenced area.
After the shock wore off, we were furious. This wasn't the Secret Service nor security, but a volunteer who said the signs weren't allowed.
We didn't come to cause trouble. We came with our "Against Abortion" shirts on and our Dole-Kemp signs to silently voice our freedom of speech. We had as much right to be there as anyone.
This is still America, or has Clinton changed that?
