To the editor:

As I was supervising the annual Tiger Classic Wrestling Tournament this past weekend, I could not help but notice all the volunteer help that makes this tournament one of the top wrestling tournaments in the Midwest. We have students, parents, alumni, community leaders and local businesses all contributing to making this a first-class experience for many high school athletes not only from Central Senior High School, but many other surrounding schools -- 16 in all.

We annually have a cross country invitational tournament, boys and girls soccer tournaments, girls basketball tournament, boys basketball shoot-out, baseball Big 8 tournament and Cape Relays Track Meet, not to mention the other sports where we have assistance from different individuals to make sure everything is top-notch.

Our school receives several complementary remarks about these activities which would not be possible without the help from the individuals I mentioned. When we receive these comments, they are not only for our school, but positive recognition for our community.

As the athletic director of Central Senior High School, I would like to extend my thanks and appreciation to all the different individuals and businesses that assist our athletic program in providing a top-quality event for our students.
