LETTERS: SAME SCHOOL, BUT DIFFERENT NAMES

To the editor:

I enjoyed the history of Southeast Missouri State University in Sunday's Missourian. My fathers, John A. Vogel, attended State Normal School No. 3. I graduated from Southeast Missouri State Teachers College ('37). My son, John, graduated from Southeast Missouri State College, and my daughter, Martha, graduated from Southeast Missouri State University. I expect some other families may have similar histories.

I was the president of the Southeast Missouri State University Alumni Association when the name was changed to University and also when we celebrated the 100th anniversary.
