This is an event that can be fun as well. Unplug everything in your home and turn out the lights. If you are a Web crafter, black your page's background the day before. Participate from 7 to 10 p.m. our time, and others will participate at that time in their time zones, so the blackout will roll across the United States. The summer solstice is the longest day of the year, and the sun will be up until almost 9 p.m. Gather with friends and family for a backyard barbecue and enjoy the outdoors.
