To the editor: On behalf of the Toybox effort and the Southeast Missourian, I want to thank the Cape Road Runners for a great race before the annual Holiday Parade of Lights. The Cape Girardeau Police Department and the Downtown Merchants are also to be thanked for their support in making this race possible. We hope to make this an annual event and look forward to next year. And a special thanks to the Road Runners who came out to help put on the race. It was a great team effort to work so quickly before and after the race, and we appreciate all the wonderful volunteers and their families who came out for the race. It was a beautiful event.
