I thought someone should speak out for Florsheim for once and not against it.

We should put the blame where it belongs: on our president and the government. It's politics, not economics, that's shutting down America and giving it away.

I shall speak highly of Florsheim. Not only has it done its best in trying to stay up to the end, it also is seeing what can be done for each employee afterwards. Not many places do that or care.

I have only worked at Florsheim 18 months, but I still am very proud to be part of the Florsheim team. The company hired me despite my physical disabilities, saw past that and looked at my possibilities, probabilities and potential. I hope I can give the next company a tenth of what Florsheim has given and taught me. I just wish more companies had the ability to get past their limited vision to see beyond the physical and go for the capabilities.

As I continue my search for another job, I wish the Florsheim company and crew my heartfelt prayer of thanks and all the best for the future.
