LETTERS: PRESENTING BOTH SIDES

To the editor:

I would like to thank Gary Rust for the time he took from his busy schedule to meet with me. I appreciated the opportunity to meet with him and discuss the accomplishments of my office.

The Southeast Missourian has consistently demonstrated an understanding of the many important issues facing our state and, with the exception of my friend Peter Kinder, the paper has provided accurate and informative analysis. I also appreciate the response space you have provided when Peter and I disagree.

All kidding about Peter aside, I'm glad you and your paper are interested in covering Jefferson City.
