To the editor:
As most of you are aware, Notre Dame High School has completed its move to our new campus. We will now continue our journey of quality education and unloading the boxes. The purpose of this letter is not to inform of our move but instead to recognize the community that made it happen.
The move was conducted by volunteer help consisting of students, parents, alumni, relatives of students, staff, faculty and countless friends of Notre Dame. The effort put forth by these people over a one-week period rivals that of the school's construction. Many of the people who helped took personal days and vacation time in order to be available to support the move schedule. Others sacrificed their days off. Some even used baby sitters to be there and help. Some people ever rented vehicles to help at their own expense.
It is my understanding, being relatively new to the area, that this is a normal response to a need in this community. No matter what the norm may be, I was very impressed, not to mention relieved, to witness such a charitable and dedicated turnout of people.
I would like to thank all of the folks who volunteered their time and energy in support of our move. Without your sacrifice and help, none of this would have been possible. Please accept my sincerest gratitude for a job well done.
