I'm having a very hard time comprehending shy the most convenient park to my downtown Cape Girardeau neighborhood has such a lousy restroom. Indian Park is a magnificent park for its size: near the river, with terrific outdoor basketball facilities (that are busy with players most of the time the weather permits), perhaps the most historic park in Cape Girardeau with its red granite marker of an important local legend. The park has an adequate drinking fountain. And in the midst of this phenomenal small park that happens to be bounded by gracious tress on one side and, not far away, the river on another is that doggoned navy-blue, plastic-sided construction worker-style bathroom.

Holy cats, Cape Girardeau. Surely you can do better than this. I don't think I want to play basketball there anymore, nor sweat and puff and run and relax and shoot baskets and meet people and then wait in line. It isn't very fair to us downtowners, I'll tell you that.
