There it seemed to us that almost everyone flew an American flag on holidays.This may have been so because the local newspaper rewarded subscribers with a free American flag.Now we live in Cape and find it to be a flag-flying town too. On Veterans Day I drove around several residential areas and found fruit baskets, Snoopy in various costumes, fall leaves, Halloween pumpkins, and many windsocks.
