To the editor:
Some of your readers have to be getting tired of Donn Miller's overindulgence of big words and overzealous rantings against this or that.
Is there anything besides freedom of speech that he believes in? Are any of his beliefs worthwhile to any of us who travel in the mainstream of life? Could it be that he is trying hard to be different or searching for something missing in his life?
Why doesn't he write about something that is good in his life, or would he rather point out something wrong with this country?
As a classmate of his, I understand him better than most. That's not an easy task, for he is portraying himself as an eccentric and somewhat embittered man.
What has life done to him to make him so anti-everything? I would still smile upon seeing him and stick out my hand anytime.
I appeal to him. Tone down the rhetoric and write about a subject the readers would like. It would be refreshingly different and welcomed by a lot of us, including his old classmate.
