To the editor: I was sorry to hear of the death of my dear friend, Judy Crow. Mary R. Fox and I used to spend many evenings in her lovely home with its many beautiful pieces of antique furniture. I even helped strip some of those pieces for refinishing in her backyard garden. I have slept in her childhood bed for many years, and now one of my twin grandnieces enjoys it...

Mary R. Fox and I used to spend many evenings in her lovely home with its many beautiful pieces of antique furniture. I even helped strip some of those pieces for refinishing in her backyard garden. I have slept in her childhood bed for many years, and now one of my twin grandnieces enjoys it.

I now live in Mission, Kan., near Kansas City, in a home for Alzheimer's patients, and the best of that bedroom set is in my private bedroom here.

Judy used to be adored by elementary schoolchildren, and she reciprocated that love. I once taught Spanish at Central High, Central Junior High and Schultz schools.
