If someone wants to adopt a dog or cat, the Humane Society is really the place to go. I visited the building, and they have some really wonderful animals.

There was one dog that was going to be going to a new home, and I am very appreciative toward that person or family. But there are still many homeless animals that need a loving family to adopt them.

There was one dog that had the use of only three legs. It bothers me that animals like this are seldom adopted because people think they will not make a good pet. Very often these animals are the best pets, because they feel in debt to you. I loved this dog most of all.

Another animal that caught my attention was a large male cat called Sonny. He reminded me of a cat I had who died two years ago. Sonny was very affectionate and would have loved it if I had been able to stay there all day.

There was a rottweiler that was very loving. Normally, rottweilers are considered kind of rough and dangerous to have with small children. But the one I saw was gentle and sweet. I could practically see the hope shining through his eyes.

A kitten that was most entertaining and playful was also available. I wanted to take all these animals home, because it makes me sad to see these homeless cats and dogs awaiting their fate at the Humane Society.

The Humane Society is working to give these animals as good a temporary home as it can, but only an adoptive family can give these extraordinary animals the individual attention and love they need. If you are wanting a pet, please visit the Humane Society.

I'll leave it up to the animals to win your heart. They'll be waiting for you.
