LETTERS: GOV. CARNAHAN HAS FAILED KIDS ON EDUCATION

To the editor:

I have been hearing the Missouri teacher of the year talk about all Gov. Mel Carnahan has done for Missouri education. I have a real problem with this. I hear on the local news that Kansas City and St. Louis Schools have lost their accreditation. This sure sounds like Governor Carnahan has failed our kids.

I am grateful that Carnahan cannot serve as our governor anymore. And with a record like this, I sure don't want to see him in the U.S. Senate. Our kids' education is so very important, and to allow our schools to end up like this, it's time for a change. I will support and vote for John Aschroft.
