In October, the HealthSouth "Go for It!" road show sponsored by Coca-Cola made a stop in Cape Girardeau. The show encouraged children to think positively and live healthy lifestyles. The shows were a huge success, bringing in nearly 20,000 children.

HealthSouth was very fortunate to have many different members of the community participating as volunteers for the three-day event. We would like to thank the Cape Girardeau County Area Medical Society Alliance, the Noon Optimist Club and the SEMO Physical Education Majors Club for all of their time and effort.

In order for a show of this magnitude to travel to Cape Girardeau, many commitments were needed from surrounding schools. HealthSouth would not have been able to share its message with the students if it weren't for the cooperation of many area school districts, superintendents, principals and teachers. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to not only give something back to the community, but to help our children as well.

Special thanks goes to the Show Me Center staff. As always, it was a pleasure to work with the staff and management. Being able to coordinate a major event such as the "Go for It!" road show was no easy task. They went above and beyond to see that everything was taken care of.

Being able to participate with the road show was truly a privilege. We sincerely hope all of the students who attended not only had fun, but also walked away with lots of positive messages about how to live their lives to the fullest.
