To the editor: I was born and raised in Missouri, moved away many years ago but regularly visited my family during the summer. This year I had the pleasure of visiting my sister Clara Smith and her husband, John, during the holidays. Part of my holiday joy was provided by the joyful Christmas celebration of my brother Walter Stone, his wife, Geri, and all their great kids and grandkids. I loved the huge family Christmas-present opening!...

Though the kindness of my brother-in-law John (and I mean kindness as it was so cold), my sister and I got to see the beautiful displays of Christmas lights from Sikeston to Cape Rock Park. The most beautiful sight, however, was the Santa Express. Such a lot of work! It brought a lot of holiday spirit to the communities it passed through.

I thoroughly enjoyed the spirit and joy of the holidays spent with family and friends.
