To the editor:
The new Medicare law in essence denies Medicare patients the care not covered by Medicare. All of the lawmakers and Medicare people end up saying so. They say non-covered care is not prohibited. That is true, but you must find a doctor who does not take any Medicare patients. If your doctor does treat Medicare patients, he will be punished by not billing Medicare for any care to any patient for two years.
What could be the motivation for passing such a law? It must be to deny the care you doctor feels you need. Therefore, you will die sooner, and it will cost Medicare less. Why else would our lawmakers and president care if we buy better health care with our own money? Did you notice Clinton did not line-item veto this law?
