To the editor:
About 85 percent of the population of the United States has the right to carry a concealed weapon. Only seven states, Missouri being one, do not allow their own citizens to carry. Even though I might not carry, there are a lot of people who would apply who work in bad sections of town, who work at night or who generally need the extra protection that a gun would afford.
We cannot deprive them of that right of their own self-defense. Besides, I like the idea of the bad guys out there not knowing who is and who isn't. It sheds new light on their predatory instincts.
I would encourage you to follow this link on the Internet, become informed on the issue and vote yes on Proposition B on April 6: http://www.moccw.org/
