To the editor:
This is an open letter to President Bill Clinton.
When persons attend church services, as you also do, it would seem to imply that this action serves as testimony that one gives some credence to the premise of such institutions, namely Holy Scripture. Further, that would extend principles so engendered, where applicable, to civic and civil circumstances.
Hence, I would exhort you to give attention to Luke 12:28, "For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required." In the matter of the recent Senate proposal to raise the eligibility and make the affluent elderly pay more for Medicare Part B coverage, it is urgent that you get off of the seat of your toga and give it your support to enhance the life of Medicare.
