LETTERS: CAPE, JACKSON ARE GOOD PLACES TO LIVE

To the editor:

I wanted to take time to write a positive letter in praise of the people of Cape Girardeau. Next week my husband and I are moving out of the area to be closer to our families. I will miss many people and things in Cape.

Many thanks for the years of support I received while working at the university's computer-services department. The people there are the best you will find anywhere in the area. Also goodbye to the people of Dollar General in the Plaza. You know you'll be missed.

Almost 10 months ago, we welcomed a new addition to our family, and his life has been enhanced by the loving care he receives from the nursery ladies at Wee-Care day care. Dr. Connie Simmons and her staff at Physician Associates have provided wonderful medical care for Taylor. Dr. Brian Stevens has taken excellent chiropractic care of us before, during and since my pregnancy.

These are wonderful examples of people I have met since I moved to Cape my freshman year in college. But there are positive people, places and things all over Cape. All you have to do is look. Thank you to the whole Cape and Jackson communities for being a great place to start a family.
