Let's all help let troops know of our support

To the editor:

I have seen a list on the Web site steveanddc.com of things the troops want us to send them.

How about each business in Cape Girardeau and Jackson and surrounding areas make a challenge to each other, employees included, to gather things we can send to our troops to let them know we are behind them. Personal messages along with the other things are listed.

There are a lot of people over there from this area, and I think it would do us all proud and make them feel good to see we are here for them and doing our part for the troops. I would be happy to donate my extra time to help on this cause.
