Land was taken from Indians by greedy whites

To the editor:

This is a comment for the person who thinks we should help destroy the Palestinians the way we did the Indians. It is time we recognize that the early period of American history is nothing to be proud of.

Europeans came with the idea of getting free land. It belonged to the Indians until it was taken from them by force. Greedy people came from Europe with the idea of stealing the assets of the people already in America. This is hardly something to brag about.

President Andrew Jackson sent troops into South Carolina and Georgia to get people out of their beds at night to send them to Oklahoma. This was the Trail of Tears. Some of these Indians were more civilized than the white people who were to get their land.

I want this problem in Palestine solved, but not that way.
