Labor Day

Tomorrow is a day set aside for barbecues and picnics and a little relaxation. It is a day our nation celebrates its work force. We celebrate Labor Day, too. We will not publish a paper.

At the Southeast Missourian, we have some of the best workers in Southeast Missouri. From the guys down at the presses to the drivers who deliver our products, from the good people behind the scenes in the newsroom to the reporters and photographers who bring the news to your porches and laptops, from the creative people who build the ads to those who sell them, we are proud of all of our workers here. And we're proud to be a part of such a hard-working community.

Thank you all who work so hard every day. Enjoy the day off. And for those who work Monday, thanks for giving some of us a place to go.
