The manager of a regional company from which I buy propane gas for my house took a long time trying to explain why the company recently charged me 22 percent more for propane than it did in August, despite the fact that the wholesale price of gasoline and other oil products dropped by about that same percentage since August. She promised to send me information on the various ordering plans the company offers to its customers to help them lower their payments. That was three weeks ago, and I have not heard from her since.

Oil and gas companies want all the money you are willing to spend for their products. They have been given the green light to satiate their collective greed by President Bush, who is not about to confront his friends in the oil industry nor in other industries. The next four years will see the American consumer pay outlandish prices for oil, insurance, health care and medicine, to mention a few. The floodgates to corporate greed have not only been opened by President Bush, they've been torn down. Get ready for Bush's friends to rob you blind.
