To the editor: In response to Joe Sullivan's column "Peonies for our fallen heroes": I enjoyed this column about Decoration Day. Of course we did not decorate much then as we had what we called graveyard workings. All the men and women worked and cleaned graves, and we put out what fresh flowers we had. I remember the column Sullivan wrote about my sister, Gladys Leach, here at Ellsinore. I do like to read his columns...
