Far left made dire predictions

To the editor:

I am fed up with the irresponsible actions of our Republican legislators, both state and federal. First our Republican-dominated state legislature enacts concealed-carry over the veto of our governor, and then the national Republicans allow the assault-weapons ban to expire. Now there is blood flowing in the streets. Every minor traffic incident turns into a shooting. There are shootings over parking spaces at malls. Saturday night is like the OK Corral. There are shoot-outs on the courthouse square at high noon. And now drug-dealing terrorists are running wild in the streets armed with recently legalized assault weapons, making our towns resemble downtown Baghdad.

Oh. I'm sorry. None of these dire predictions of the left-wing fringe has come true. Things are as peaceful as they ever were, maybe even more so. Don't left-wingers ever get tired of being so completely, absolutely and totally wrong about everything?

One more thing: All those "No Weapons Allowed" signs the banks have posted sure have been effective in stopping bank robbers, haven't they?
