According to ihearthorsescom:

  • Clydesdales originated from Scotland more than two centuries ago.
  • Clydesdales are known for giant feet which are as large as dinner plates (the average horse shoe weighs 5 pounds) four times the size of a thoroughbred shoe.
  • The Clydesdale breed is more popular in the U.S. than anywhere else.
  • An adult Clydesdale will eat 25 to 50 pounds of hay and 2 to 10 pounds of grain each day.

We hope you can find some time this week to see these magnificent animals up close.
