EXTENSION CENTER GETS STRONG SUPPORT FOR ITS NEW BUILDING, STILL NEEDS TO RAISE $80,000

The Cape Girardeau County Extension Center touches a lot of people through its 90 programs. It is no surprise that efforts to raise about half a million dollars for a new building to house the center near Jackson.

Donations have come from 185 groups representing as many as 4,000 individuals. This shows remarkable support for the center and its activities. Construction is about to start on the center, which will more than triple the space available.

Nearly $80,000 still must be raised. It will come as no surprise that the hard work of those who benefit from extension programs will pay off. That kind of support comes from a history of worthwhile service.
