I'm a truck driver and listen to Christian radio. I've heard how wonderful and true to life Mel Gibson's movie, "The Passion of the Christ," is. I saw the movie, and it makes you love Jesus more, and you also feel some of the pain Christ went through for all us sinners.

I heard people on the radio insisting that you shouldn't let children or even young teenagers see the movie because of the R rating. The movie has a lot of violent scenes, but it showed what Jesus went through and his great love for all people.

I believe parents should have a long talk with their children and explain what they will see in this movie. I think a child has the right to see what Jesus did for us and not have to wait until adulthood. I wish I could have had this opportunity 50 years ago.

After the movie, I watched the news on TV. What I saw was rated X: two men kissing and two women kissing at same-sex marriages. Try to explain that to your child. I would rather explain "The Passion" than why men are marrying men and women are marrying women.
