Deadline nears for Spirit of America nominations

The deadline to submit your nomination for the Southeast Missourian's Spirit of America Award is Thursday. Readers in Cape Girardeau, Perry, Bollinger, Stoddard and Scott counties in Missouri, and Union, Pulaski and Alexander counties in Illinois are invited to submit nominations. The award will be given July 4 before the fireworks display at Arena Park in Cape Girardeau.
