The following Letter to the Editor was sent in response to the story "Cape Girardeau residents mark founder's death":While it was good to see coverage of the Bicentennial Commemorative Celebration of Cape Girardeau's Founders, presented by the Red House Interpretive Center, I'm sorry to say that the article was lacking in the historical value of the ceremony.

It was a disappointment to see that the article contained no mention of the key note speaker and organizer Linda Nash, or the historical achievements and contributions, by Louis Lorimier, as presented in the key note speech.
