To the editor:
I apologize for anything that might have been said in recent e-mails you have received. We at the Cape Filmmakers Cooperative are doing all we can to put an end to this ridiculousness.
Mike Huntington is no longer a member or associated with the CFC in any way. His statements are his own and not the views of the CFC.
Regarding the coming of "Killshot": The CFC did not bring this production here or claim to bring it here. We believe people here in Cape Girardeau and Missouri like Chuck Martin, Jay Knudtson, Dr. Jim Dufek and Jerry Jones are doing a wonderful job.
We would also like to commend the Arts Council of Southeast Missouri for its work to promote and support the arts here. It's a shame I didn't meet Rebecca Fulgham years ago. I recently sat down with her, and I think she's a great person. I hope we can work together soon.
We appreciate the positive feedback we have received for our work on the Show Me Digital Film Festival. This will continue to grow.
We will be participating in the City of Roses Festival this year. I hope this will continue for years to come.
We are taking this opportunity to restructure the CFC. All I ask is that everyone gives the CFC a chance to prove our intentions and to know that we have only the best intentions for the arts in Cape Girardeau.
PATRICK BOND, Chairman, Cape Filmmakers Cooperative, Cape Girardeau
