CASA support makes a difference

To the editor:

CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) of Southeast Missouri wishes to thank Kate Scott, her cameraman and KFVS12 anchors Jeff Cunningham and Mary-Ann Maloney for taking the time to produce such a great story on CASA and our need for volunteers. Chris Pagano was so gracious in her coverage of CASA for the Southeast Missourian as well. We would also like to thank our current volunteers for their commitment to the CASA program and the abused and neglected children of Southeast Missouri. We are so appreciative of the generosity of our volunteers, our board members, the community and United Way. CASA volunteers Vicki Lowell and Gretchen Weber did a wonderful job representing CASA on the recent news report. The dedication of all these individuals is making a difference in the lives of some very special children.
