Cape vs. St. Charles

Has anyone else noticed that most of the opponents to the proposed casino already have decent jobs or are retired? To me, these people have a very narrow view concerning the welfare of others that are not as fortunate.

Have they considered going up to St. Charles to see what the dividends of a local casino can bring to a community? When my wife and I, along with friends, go the Ameristar Casino, we spend the weekend and visit the many quaint shops and restaurants downtown. We spend much more money at the shops and restaurants than at the casino.
