AWARENESS OF PORNOGRAPHY

It is with great appreciation that I thank two men who have recently stood up for the family and morals of our founding fathers.

First, I would like to thank the general manager of WSIL-Channel 3 (ABC affiliate), Steve Wheeler, for making a major decision (ital) not (ital) to air the R-rated, explicit NYPD Blue. For this reason, his station will be one of the minority nationwide that (ital) will not (ital) be boycotted against due to the airing of the above show.

Second, I thank Gov. Carnahan for signing a state proclamation issuing Oct. 31 to Nov. 7 as Pornography Awareness Week. Supporters of this recognition show white ribbons or mailboxes, car antennas and lapels.

Sometimes when the tunnel looks long and black, we can look up and see a glimmer of light leading us to the end. Thank you Mr. Wheeler and Gov. Carnahan.
