In response to the article "Counting to 10,000": Inconsistent pricing is why I rarely fly from Cape Girardeau. I fly round-trip from St. Louis to Anchorage every six weeks. Pricing for the three flights a day from Cape Girardeau to St. Louis varies from $151 to $750. My ticket to Anchorage typically costs $480. I can't fly American to Anchorage because the airline discontinued service there in October. I have to use an airlines that goes there year-round (Northwest). These airfares are absolute nonsense.
