Civil Air Patrol Trail of Tears Composite Squadron Cadets Earn Promotions

2nd Lt L. Bill pins Cadet Staff Sergeant P. Allred’s new rank.

Three cadet members of the local Civil Air Patrol Squadron, Trail of Tears Composite Squadron, completed the requirements for promotion during November 2022. Cadet Senior Master Sergeant L. Ragain completed the requirement for Achievement 7 and earned the rank of Cadet Chief Master Sergeant. Cadet Senior Airman P. Allred completed the requirements and earned the Wright Brothers Award and the rank of Cadet Staff Sergeant. Cadet P. Allred is the 54,294th cadet nationwide to earn the Wright Brother Award since the award was launched in 2003. Cadet P. Allred is one of only 3 current cadets in our squadron to have earned the Wright Brothers Award. Cadet Airman 1st Class S. Jones completed the Achievement 3 earning the rank of Cadet Senior Airman. Promotions were celebrated on December 1 and 20, 2022.

Cadet Senior Airman Harris was named Cadet of the Month for November.

The Missouri Wing of the Civil Air Patrol is composed of over 800 members organized in almost thirty units located throughout the state. Assets include eight single-engine aircraft, twenty-two vehicles, and extensive communication equipment. The wing conducted four search and rescue missions, twenty-six training missions, as well as nine other state and federal support missions, in 2021 and was credited with two finds.
