Aug. 26 is National Dog Day. What type of dog would you most like to have as a pet?

We had a yellow Labrador retriever for 13 years. Her name was Chantilly Lace and we called her Lacy. She was a great dog.

The Summer Olympics in Rio ends today. What was your favorite moment?

It had to be all the women on the U.S. gymnastics team. I couldn't get enough of watching it. Simone Biles was a powerhouse. She made it look easy.

If you could go back in time, when and where would you go?

I would like to go back in time to Scott City when my grandma, Minnie Houck, made chicken and dumplings for us, and we would sit on the back porch and eat watermelon.

What is one of your good habits?

I love reading. I read voraciously.

Aug. 26 is National Dog Day. What type of dog would you most like to have as a pet?

I love dogs. I have two shetland sheepdogs and can't think of a better dog to have as a pet.

The Summer Olympics in Rio ends today. What was your favorite moment?

I think Michael Phelps winning his final gold medal before he announced his retirement. It's an iconic moment in all of Olympics history.

If you could go back in time, when and where would you go?

I would go back to the Victorian era because I love their furniture. I'm an antique collector.

What is one of your good habits?

I try to eat healthy and exercise, and avoid sugar.

Aug. 26 is National Dog Day. What type of dog would you most like to have as a pet?

I would like to have a golden retriever as a pet. They seem like pretty good dogs, real friendly, good with kids and love everybody.

The Summer Olympics in Rio ends today. What was your favorite moment?

I liked watching the gymnastics, and since I ran track in high school, I liked the track events, too.

If you could go back in time, when and where would you go?

I would go back to Bible times. I can't imagine what it would be like living on Earth when Jesus was here.

What is one of your good habits?

Always being on the move. I like to be active, constantly, and athletically.

Aug. 26 is National Dog Day. What type of dog would you most like to have as a pet?

I like the Scottish westie. I had one when I lived in Scotland, but I had to give it to my friends there.

The Summer Olympics in Rio ends today. What was your favorite moment?

When Simone Biles got her fourth gold medal [in the floor exercise]. I watched her all week.

If you could go back in time, when and where would you go?

I appreciate my time here now. People respect human rights much more today, so I don't want to go back.

What is one of your good habits?

I'm a morning person so I can start my activities straightaway once I wake up. Every day.
