What in your background or education makes you qualified for this office?

As a parent within the Kelly School District for 20 years,I have experienced many facets as to how Kelly is ran. I have seen how the Board's decisions have affected my children's experience while attending, and because of this, I realize to always put the student first, and to not allow personal bias to affect my decisions. Through my financial background as an accountant, I will ensure that Kelly is fiscally responsible in their decisions.

What do you believe is the greatest challenge facing your school district?

The greatest challenge facing Kelly School District, is "small town politics". I want to be a voice for EVERY student and family during my time on the Board, if elected. Your last name, nor your occupation, will sway me to vote one way or the other. I will work diligently to ensure that the well-being of ALL students is upheld, not just a select few.

If elected, do you have any plans for improving the school district?

If elected,I would like to form a committee of parents, board members, administrators, and teachers. This way, information comes from "bottom to top", and not "top to bottom". I believe that so much information about how to teach our children, needs to be heard from our teachers. They are the ones that are with our children, and they are the ones that know what to do, to enable our children to truly learn.
