The SoutheastHEALTH Auxiliary presented a $21,000 check to SoutheastHEALTH on Thursday, Jan. 15, at the group's Winter Meeting & Luncheon at Southeast Hospital.

Coupled with earlier donations, the Auxiliary has given $51,000 over the course of the past year to help fund the recent Neonatal Intensive Care Unit expansion and remodeling project at Southeast Hospital. Much of the money went to help purchase the NICVIEW webcam system, a secure video link for parents and family members to keep a close eye on their infants in the unit.

In addition, the Auxiliary purchased 25 wheelchairs for the Hospital and funded 22 healthcare scholarships. The Auxiliary also provided continuing funds and supplies for the Building Blocks/Nurse Family Partnership program, a prenatal, early childhood, home visitation program that the group has sponsored since inception of the program at Southeast in 1999.
