Third grade classes at Perryville Elementary School turned their hallways into different ecosystems. The displays were the grand finale of a research project that explored different ecosystems including tropical forest, desert, savanna, grassland, deciduous and coniferous forests, ocean and freshwater. Students studied the climate, animals and plants of each ecosystem, then wrote reports and created posters. Those were then assembled into murals that represented each ecosystem. Above, Ava Hotop stands by her poster about meerkats.
