WHY: Academy Sports + Outdoors kicks off the opening of its third Missouri store on June 28, which will bring over 150 new jobs to the area. We're giving local news media a chance on June 27 to see the store before it opens.

Youth Shopping Sprees

Store Director Rodney Hall and his staff will cut their ceremonial ribbon prior to inviting 30 youth from the Cape Girardeau area to shop during a private youth give-back event and be the first customers of the store. Academy Sports + Outdoors will donate $100 Academy gift cards to each child as well as provide a personal shopping assistant.
