Marc Fulgham to perform in concert with Central High School Orchestra

Dr. Marc Fulgham will perform Feb. 23 at the Cape Central High School Winter Concert at 6:30 pm in the High School Commons. The concert is free to the public.

Dr. Fulgham is in his twentieth year as Professor of Music at Southeast Missouri State University. He is Principal Trumpet of the Paducah Symphony Orchestra. He has performed with the Tulsa, OK, Philharmonic; Wichita, KS, Symphony; Springfield, MO, Symphony; Colorado Symphony; Denver Symphony; Boulder Philharmonic; Mahlerfest Orchestra; and the Denver Chamber Orchestra.

Dr. Fulgham has also performed with Frankie Vallee, Marie Osmond, Mannheim Steamroller, Amy Grant and Cathy Rigsby. He is First Trumpet in the Southeast Faculty Brass Quintet, performing 30 -- 35 concerts each year, and he continues to perform with and adjudicate local soloists and music ensembles. For the past four years he has been the trumpet judge for the All-District band. He will perform a trumpet concerto, "Konzert D dur" for D Trumpet and String Orchestra , by Johann Friedrich Fasch (1688-1758). Concert goers will recognize the trumpet as the kind played on "Penny Lane" by the Beatles.
