I frequent the Jackson Hardees to check with my "advisers" about issues of varied importance. The subject of politics sometimes comes up. I remarked one day that I would rather have the people running for office explain the issues confronting us, explain where they stand and say what they would do, in detail, to rectify the situations facing our country instead of mudslinging and running down their opponents. One of my colleagues then remarked that would rate right up there with, "when hell freezes over" and "when pigs fly." From the looks of this last election, I guess he was right.
