Stop complaining

IT APPEARS the people on government giveaways are starting to complain through Speak Out. Get out of the wagon and help pull a while. I'm not rich, and I'm sure sick and tired of my taxes going to lazy bums complaining about not getting their checks. Get a job.

Cutting Medicare

THIS IS to all of the so-called Republicans who will now vote for Democrats because they don't want Medicare cut. Your newly adopted president, Bill Clinton, conceded last week that Medicare will indeed need to be cut. Now who are you going to vote for? You were all for a change in government until you found out that it might affect yourself.

Boys and baseball

WE WERE looking forward to a pleasant evening watching a Babe Ruth baseball game. Our team was losing by several runs when they nearly tied the score in the last exciting inning. We were proud of the boys, and they were exhilarated. But the coaches yelled at the boys, and the boys were humiliated. This is not what coaching is all about.
