I WOULD like to report that I was the recipient of a beautiful Random Act of Kindness this past week. I exited from the Mercantile Bank and when I started to step down from the curb to the parking area, I remembered that I had fallen doing the same thing three weeks before and really hurt myself. So I spoke aloud as if to myself: "Oh, I hate to try that again." So some lady there in the parking lot near her car said "Don't move. I'll come and help you." And she came and she lead me down around to what looked like a ramp in the concrete which I hadn't seen and lead me to my car. That might not have been a random act, but that was a beautiful act of kindness, and I thanked her so much for it.
THANK YOU, Jackson police for your acts of kindness every day of the year. When we go to sleep at night, we know you are out there watching out for us all. Thanks, you are a great bunch.
THERE ARE volunteers who volunteer their time on a regular basis rather than a random basis who are often overlooked. These are volunteer firefighters who spend many hours away from family and friends, engaging in training and responding to emergencies. They do this day in day out, month in month out, year in month out.
I WOULD like to make a Random Acts of Kindness award to Pete Bond of Chaffee. As he goes on his daily walks each morning, he picks up the papers at curbside and puts them on the senior citizens' porches. Thanks a lot, Pete.
