Government-think; Public sidewalks; Shame on you

Government-think

ONLY 3 percent of Americans ever reach a point of financial freedom (defined as at least $35,000 in annual income without having to work). Why? Because we've been trained to be financial slaves. The government teaches you what it wants you to know. You probably learned basically nothing about money until you entered the workforce. Until the basic necessities for you and your family are locked in, human beings will think about or focus on little else. This effectively stops you from getting involved in a way that might rock the boat. Have you ever wondered why money, self-reliance, independence and rugged individualism aren't taught in school? "The purpose of [the General Education Board] is not to raise the level of education in America, as is widely believed, but to influence the direction of that group thinking." -- G. Edward Griffin, on Rockefeller's General Education Board, founded in 1903.

Public sidewalks

I wonder why a business found the need to chase mothers with strollers and small children from a public sidewalk before the fair parade. I was sitting across the street and saw family after family rudely chased away. I can understand and support wanting to keep the grassy area for employees or friends, but aren't the sidewalks for everyone?

Shame on you

IT is the morning after the fair parade. I just drove my son to school. There is trash everywhere. How can resident of a city not want a clean environment? Do you not understand that we are perceived by how we look? Like it or not, our outward appearance is judged by first-time viewers. This includes where we live, our homes and cities. It makes me sad to see how pollution thrives through human acts of indifference. I am going to walk down Broadway and help pick up your mess.
