Inefficient government
Our federal government is doing it again. Not only did it leave a perfectly good federal building on Broadway, it wasted millions of dollars on a new courthouse. Now the Social Security office is building a separate building. No wonder Social Security is broke. This is the same efficient government that many want to run our health-care system.
Good trend
Abortions are way down in the U.S. That is a good thing.
Not uplifting
I HAVE yet to turn on "Swingtown." From the title alone you can figure out it's based on something that's not healthy for society, not uplifting, at the pervert level, something that would break up marriages. We're living in a time that doesn't promote marriage as strongly as it should.
Bailouts for everyone
I DOUBT it's just the people who overbought houses who are getting bailouts. Loans are being given to the poor to help them get a home. When everything was economically stable, they could meet their payments. But when gas prices and food prices got so high they started losing their homes.
Private lines
I AM so frustrated that I can't see straight. I pay good money for a phone and rely on the phone to keep in contact with my business and friends and family. But I can't enjoy it at all anymore. Even with caller ID it's a problem, because I must get 10 to 15 calls a day from charities and now the robo-calls from politicians. It's like it's not my phone anymore. It's theirs. If it's theirs, they ought to pay for it. There's got to be some way to get these people off our private lines.
