In regard to the Speak Out caller who doesn't appreciate walking or pushing strollers through grass cuttings in the street: Maybe you should try the sidewalk next time.
It's just been reported that the postal service would have had a profit this year if it wasn't for some kind of a Congress-mandated pre-funding of health care. Congress needs to get off their hands and do something about this and let the postal service try to survive.
Citizens of Jackson should be on alert. A small, elite group of people on the school board wish to raise our property taxes again. The taxes are already higher than they should be, and the district isn't managing its funds wisely. Tell the school board and Dr. Anderson "no" on the tax proposal.
Two years ago, Cape County allocated dollars to blacktop County Road 525. They laid all the culverts in a year ago, and I'm wondering what happened to the money for the blacktop? Two years later, it hasn't happened. I'd like to know why the county hasn't blacktopped the road yet.

I'm sick of people moaning and complaining about how a rodeo clown is such a disgrace. There are bigger problems in the country than the antics of rodeo clowns. If only you cared as much about the direction of the country as you do about rodeo clowns, we could get something worthwhile done.
Youth sports are for the teens playing the sports, not the parents who are watching. If you don't like what's being taught, then you can remove yourself from your lawn chair and separate yourself from your iPhone and volunteer to help. Otherwise, support your child and thank those who are helping teach your sons and daughters.
