Most people are not born with three hands and arms. Several times I have seen drivers with a phone to their ear and the other hand working a cigarette and no hands on the wheel. That is spooky to see when they are in the middle of a left turn, but maybe they are using their feet to turn the steering wheel.
It's a simple question but one that demands a very precise and public answer: What tests and/or other measuring instruments are going to be used to give the public precise, scientific (as opposed to anecdotes and testimonials) information as to the success or lack thereof in improving student performance when it comes to the implementation of the Common Core Curriculum and the placement of a digital device in the hands of every Cape Central High School student?
Who made the rules for the air show at the Cape Girardeau airport? My family went to the restaurant at the airport for breakfast and got drinks afterward to take with us. When we got to the gate we were told we couldn't take them in, but yet there were other outside drinks being carried around. Why was this?
Especially since Cape Central is embarking on a mobile computer device for every student, there must be a concerted public and private partnership effort to ensure every residence in our city has Wi-Fi.
A recent Speak Out caller said the world's most popular talk-show host was a liar without giving us one example. The truth is Rush told him the truth and he just hoped it was a lie.
I want to see if the city is going to measure the height of grass on their sidewalks in town. Some of it is more than 10 inches. Are they going to put a sign on that to get it mowed or face a fine?
